About the Role:

As a Marketing Intern within the retail trade industry, you will play a vital role in supporting the marketing team to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement. This position offers a comprehensive learning experience where you will assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and in-store promotions. You will contribute to market research efforts to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning, helping to inform strategic decisions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as sales, merchandising, and creative departments to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign effectiveness. Ultimately, your contributions will help increase brand awareness and support the achievement of sales and marketing objectives in a dynamic retail environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing channels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or Canva.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Previous internship or work experience in retail marketing or a related field.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute innovative ideas.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer data to support marketing strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Manage and update content on social media channels, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.
  • Support the coordination of promotional events and in-store marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather materials and insights necessary for campaign development and reporting.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Help maintain marketing databases and assist with administrative tasks related to marketing projects.

The required skills such as communication and basic marketing knowledge are essential for effectively supporting campaign development and engaging with team members and customers.
