Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business & Technology Intern will support both technical and business service functions across Impyrian. This role is designed to provide hands‑on experience in a professional services and government contracting environment while exposing the intern to multiple aspects of the business. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Assist with building, maintaining, and automating reports using tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar platforms • Support data collection, data cleanup, and basic data analysis for internal business operations • Assist with documenting processes, workflows, and standard operating procedure • Support operational teams with administrative, reporting, and coordination tasks • Assist with basic technical tasks such as system testing, validation, automation tools, or data entry related to internal tools • Collaborate with team members across Project Delivery, People & Culture, Finance, Growth & Strategy, and Operations to understand how different business functions operate • Participate in meetings, business discussions, and learning sessions to gain exposure to the full lifecycle of client and internal work • Participate in and complete a group capstone project with fellow interns, focused on analyzing, improving, or automating an internal business or program‑delivery process and presenting outcomes to company leadership • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business and technology initiatives | ||
Required Qualifications | ||
Education and Work Experience: • Currently eligible for, enrolled in, or recently completed, an undergraduate or graduate program in business, information systems, computer science, data analytics, management, or a related field • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word • Ability to work with data, follow written instructions, and manage multiple tasks Skills and Competencies: • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to analyze information and identify trends or inconsistencies • Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools and systems • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment • Professional demeanor and eagerness to learn in a fast‑paced environment | ||

Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or workstation.• Prolonged use of a computer and keyboard, including typing and using a mouse. • Ability to handle light lifting (up to 20-30 lbs), including office supplies, files, or small equipment. • Frequent use of manual dexterity for tasks such as writing, filing, and operating office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.). • Ability to walk or stand occasionally to attend meetings, interact with colleagues, or move around the office. • Clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for reading documents, viewing computer screens, and performing detailed tasks. • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout a full workday. • Repetitive motions are associated with tasks such as typing, using a mouse, and answering phones. • Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve files or office supplies from cabinets or storage areas. • Occasional standing, reaching, or walking to attend meetings or use office equipment in different areas of the office. • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
