We are looking for an intern with a desire to expand their knowledge about the practice of corporate citizenship and the impact of Texas Mutual’s Community Affairs program.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Essential job functions:
Learn about Texas Mutual’s community partnerships.
Participate in the grant-making process.
Help with tasks related to event sponsorship commitments.
Use online platforms that track volunteering and charitable giving.
Select and complete research projects on Community Affairs topics.
Gain an understanding of the importance of corporate citizenship.
Complete tasks and projects as assigned by the department.
Participate in division meetings and trainings.
Attend multiple in-person events, as a representative of Texas Mutual.
Collaborate with partners to further our philanthropic mission.
The ideal candidate must:
Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
Have an interest in at least one of the following: non-profit relations, charitable giving, corporate communications, corporate citizenship practice, grant-making, sponsorship management, public relations, cause marketing or community partnerships.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Internship details:
Duration: fall and spring internship to begin September 8, 2026 (end date is flexible).
Location: Austin, TX; in-person; potential for limited remote work later in the internship.
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible).
Compensation for this role is $26.00 an hour.
**Benefits are not included with internship positions. We are committed to working with candidates to ensure scheduling flexibility around academic commitments, breaks and holidays. Time off during these periods is unpaid.**

The base pay is based on the market evaluation of the job. Individual base pay is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Flex-Hybrid Work Environment:
Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
