About The Company
SumUp is a leading global fintech company committed to levelling the playing field for small businesses. Founded in 2012, we’re the trusted partner of over 4 million merchants in 37 markets, providing simple and affordable tools that help them manage payments, finance, and customer relationships. Our vision is a world where everyone can build a thriving business. Guided by this, we champion small business ownership by creating accessible solutions that empower entrepreneurs to grow and succeed. Our diverse team of over 3,000 SumUppers — representing more than 90 nationalities across 20 offices worldwide — is at the heart of our success. Beyond business, we donate 1% of the net revenue generated by Solo devices to environmental causes and support educational and entrepreneurial initiatives around the world. Recognised as a Top Global Employer for inclusion by the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index in 2022 and 2023, and awarded Fintech Diversity Initiative of the Year at the Irish National Fintech Awards in 2025, SumUp continues to build an inclusive, supportive, and purpose-driven workplace where everyone belongs.
About the Role

About the team

SumUp's Retail Click & Mortar team is responsible for a significant share of European acquisition, operating across 17 EU markets with a large field operation completing thousands of in-store compliance audits every month. The Trade Marketing function sits at the heart of this — connecting field execution data to commercial decision-making.

We've recently centralised our data capture and analytics platforms, which means we now have access to a wealth of live retail data. The challenge — and the opportunity — is turning that data into clear, consistent insights that help us act faster and invest smarter. That's exactly what this role is here to do.

This is a great opportunity for someone who's analytically curious, enjoys working with real business data, and wants to see the direct impact of their work on retail performance across Europe.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and validate data coming from store audits across 17 EU markets, ensuring accuracy and consistency in our reporting inputs
  • Manage regular trade marketing reports and dashboards, supporting monthly planning cycles with up-to-date, reliable data
  • Produce ad hoc analyses on request, helping the team understand what's driving in-store performance across key metrics like product rotation, display compliance, and cost effectiveness
  • Identify performance gaps and best practices across markets, channels, and store formats, and present findings in a clear, actionable way
  • Support the team in keeping operational processes aligned, flagging data risks or inconsistencies before they affect decision-making

You'll be great for this role if…

  • Experience working with data, whether through coursework, a placement, or a personal project, and a genuine interest in turning numbers into useful conclusions
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple requests at once, prioritise effectively, and deliver clear outputs under time pressure
  • Comfort working with large, sometimes messy datasets and a methodical approach to spotting errors or inconsistencies
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex data in a way that's easy for non-technical stakeholders to act on
