(Job Summary)


The Turnberry Development Internship Introduction is a brief, two-week program designed to provide students with introductory exposure to the Development function and the day-to-day work that supports active real estate and construction-related projects. This abbreviated experience is intended to give interns a high-level understanding of the department, project workflows, key stakeholders, and the professional skills needed to contribute in a corporate development environment.


The program will take place in person over a two-week period and will serve as an abbreviated version of the full Development Internship role. Interns will participate in assigned learning opportunities, observe departmental processes, and support select administrative or project-related tasks as appropriate.

 

What You Do:

(Duties/Responsibilities)


The Development Internship Introduction will provide interns with a focused overview of the Development department. Interns may assist with light project support, observe meetings or site-related discussions, and complete short-term assignments based on business needs, which may include:


  • Support department administrators, project managers, and team leaders with introductory project-related tasks.
  • Assist with preparing or organizing basic forms, templates, and project materials.
  • Observe how project managers coordinate with general contractors, design partners, and internal departments.
  • Gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration with design, construction, operations, and other internal teams.
  • Attend selected meetings, site visits, or department check-ins, as appropriate, to better understand project deliverables.
  • Perform other introductory tasks as assigned. This description is intended to reflect a short-term learning experience and may be adjusted based on department needs.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

(Requirements)


  • Current undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in development, construction, real estate, business, or a related field.
  • Ability to commit to the full two-week internship introduction period.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Corporate Office.
  • Demonstrates dependability when following instructions, responding to management direction, and completing tasks in a timely manner or notifying appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Strong interest in learning about development, project coordination, and corporate real estate functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the country where the internship is located.
