About The Company
EAGLES is a comprehensive transition program (CTP) for students with intellectual disabilities. The program provides a postsecondary education opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities to engage in a two or four-year campus experience. It is a non-degreed program focusing on (1) academic enrichment, (2) personal and social skills, (3) independence, (4) health and wellness, and (5) integrated work experiences. Students in the program receive an inclusive post-secondary education providing them with an enriching and rewarding Auburn experience as they prepare to transition to gainful employment, that aligns with the student’s strengths and interests and independent living. The EAGLES program operates to enable students to be contributing members of society both now and in the future.

Administrative Effectiveness at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Intern! This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, assessment, and continuous improvement across the university. Students will gain valuable professional experience while developing a broader understanding of the operations that help Auburn thrive.

 

Established in 2023, Administrative Effectiveness provides leadership for all assessment and effectiveness efforts for administrative and co-curricular campus units. The mission of Administrative Effectiveness is to actively support quality assessment of units, programs, and services to provide evidence of continuous improvement. The unit develops data-informed strategies for administrative units that support the institution’s accreditation, assessment, strategic planning, and data-management efforts. Administrative Effectiveness recommends, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates units and provides resources to cultivate a culture of operational excellence. Additionally, the following units report directly to Administrative Effectiveness: Airport, Gogue Performing Arts Center, Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, Parking Services, Transportation Services, Ombuds Office, and Sustainability.

 

This position is part of Auburn Business & Administration's Internship Pilot Program, a cohort-based experience designed to complement departmental work assignments with professional development, cross-functional exposure, and networking opportunities across B&A units. Through the program, interns will gain insight into the various functions that support Auburn University while building professional skills and connections that will benefit them throughout their careers.


Responsibilities

  • Develop assessment and strategic planning resources
  • Assist with assessment and strategic planning training opportunities for unit staff members
  • Attend office and unit meetings and record minutes
  • Perform data entry for evaluations and assessments
  • Analyze findings from assessments
  • Research assessment and planning best practices
  • Assist with administrative program review
  • Develop/plan surveys, focus groups, and other assessments
  • Assist administrative unit staff members, as needed, on assessment and strategic planning projects
  • Provide support to the Assoc. VP and Executive Director of Administrative Effectiveness
  • Perform additional duties as requested
