Job Responsibilities

  • Competent with operating property management system.

  • Works closely with the respective team managers and other related departments to ensure guests’ requests are followed through.

  • Handle various equipment.

  • Perform administrative duties as requested.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

  • Process guest requests and in the event, if the request is not directly related to his/her area of capacity, the request must be owned and forwarded to the appropriate department.

  • Attend scheduled departmental meetings and daily briefings as required.

  • Contribute ideas to improving the operations of MICE - LBS.

Business Centre and Mail & Package Ops:

  • Opening and closing of the Business Centre, Mail & Package Centre, and Mailroom.

  • Manage meeting room bookings.

  • Provide secretarial support.

  • Manage courier shipment and consignments

  • Handle cash and credit card transactions.

LBS Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)

  • Establish and observe WSH / fire safety compliance and Safe Management Measures (SMM) in MICE.

  • Reporting of WSH / fire safety violations.

  • Conduct quarterly WSH training.

  • Safety induction briefing for events in MICE.

  • Support ISO45001 certification.

MICE Waste Management Ops:

  • Manage cleaning, sanitizing and disinfection for events, exhibitions, trade shows and special events in Expo Halls and Ballrooms.

  • Recycling and sustainability initiatives.

  • Provision of skips and compactors for events.

  • Support ISO20121 certification.

Logistics and MICE Service Ops:

  • Hiring of equipment.

  • On-site handling.

  • Traffic management procedures.

  • Vehicle entry permit via ServiceNow.

  • Reporting and monitoring of structural defects/faults.

  • Manning of loading/unloading dock.

  • Manage lift holdings schedule for VIP/artistes. Attend to medical or non-medical cases within MICE.

  • Briefing of contractors to ensure all house rules are always adhered to.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Applicant must be a full-time matriculated student
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months.
  • Internship must contribute to school graduation requirements.

Experience

  • No experience required as training will be provided

Other Prerequisites

  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
  • Pays attention to details and have strong customer service skills.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • A team player and takes initiative to assist other Team Members when required.
  • Well-groomed and professional disposition.
