About the Role

PacAero Agawam is seeking a motivated and dependable Office Clerk Intern to provide front office and administrative support within our manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a high school student, recent graduate, or individual seeking their first professional work experience to gain exposure to office operations, customer service, and basic business functions.


This role supports front desk operations, visitor check-in, light administrative support, and basic sales-related administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and data entry. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, and customers.


This position is onsite, part-time, Monday–Friday, and is intended to support students and entry-level workers seeking professional office experience.

Requirements

Front Desk & Visitor Support

• Greet visitors, vendors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner

• Assist with visitor sign-in/check-in procedures and maintain visitor logs

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls as needed

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

• Provide general administrative support to office staff


Administrative Support

• Perform filing, scanning, copying, and document organization

• Assist with data entry and maintaining electronic or paper records

• Support preparation of documents, packets, and office materials

• Organize and maintain office files and administrative records

• Assist with miscellaneous clerical projects as assigned


Sales Administrative Support

• Provide basic administrative assistance to the sales team

• Help organize customer files, sales paperwork, and documentation

• Assist with simple spreadsheet updates and data tracking

• Support document preparation and filing related to customer activity


Workplace Standards

• Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information

• Demonstrate professionalism and strong customer service skills

• Follow all company safety, quality, and security procedures

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

• High school student, recent graduate, or individual seeking first work experience preferred

• Strong willingness to learn and develop professional office skills

• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Friendly, professional communication skills

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required


Preferred Qualifications

• Prior volunteer, school, customer service, or office experience preferred but not required

• Interest in business, administration, sales, or office operations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily sedentary work involving sitting, computer use, phone communication, and occasional walking between departments

• Ability to occasionally lift office materials or supplies up to 15 lbs

• This role is designed for high school students and entry-level workers; overtime is not expected or required and schedules will be coordinated to support school obligations and applicable youth employment laws
