Summary

Supports plant performance by collecting and analyzing operational data, performing work measurement, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with production, engineering, and quality to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost through practical, data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting time studies and work measurement analysis to establish labor standards
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports (e.g., efficiency, productivity, labor utilization)
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Assist in developing and updating plant layouts using tools such as AutoCAD
  • Support continuous improvement and problem-solving projects by collaborating with various departments, including production, engineering, and quality.
  • Assist with layout design and documentation for new equipment installations, equipment moves, and decommissioning activities, including space planning, material flow considerations, and updating CAD layouts to reflect current state conditions.
  • Assist in documenting standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited college or university. Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • Proactive self starter with a willingness to learn.
  • Good verbal, written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Mathematical, analytical, and computer literate.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint skill
  • Intermediate AutoCAD skill is preferred.
  • General knowledge of industrial engineering principles and/or continuous improvement methodologies and practices.
  • Has completed foundational courses in their major.
  • Overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
