About the Role

Job Title: Intern, Loan Servicing Specialist 

Department: Loan Operations 

Location: Littleton, MA

Classification: On-Site, 5 days per week

Weekly Schedule: 40 hours per week

Length of Assignment: Summer Internship

Estimated Pay: $20/hour


Overview:

Are you interested in loan operations and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced financial services environment? Workers Federal Credit Union is looking for a motivated Loan Servicing Intern to support our team and contribute to delivering exceptional service to our members.


As a Loan Servicing Intern, you will work closely with our Loan Operations team to assist with servicing consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans. This includes supporting daily loan servicing activities such as processing payoff requests, handling member and internal inquiries, organizing loan documentation, and maintaining accurate records. This is an exciting opportunity to build your operational, customer service, and financial services skills while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with daily loan servicing functions, including processing payoff quotes and transactions 
  • Respond to loan servicing inquiries from members, internal teams, and external partners 
  • Monitor and manage service requests through tickets and email, ensuring timely follow-up 
  • Organize, file, and maintain loan records, including mortgage documentation 
  • Assist with preparing and recording mortgage discharges and other servicing documents 
  • Perform intake and distribution of Loan Operations mail 
  • Participate in team initiatives and special projects 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient loan servicing operations 

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively 
  • Comfort using technology and learning new systems 
  • Interest in financial services or loan operations
