Position Overview:

Position Summary 

Johnny Was is seeking a motivated Summer Finance Intern to support the Finance and Accounting team while gaining exposure to a wide range of business functions across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience in retail and wholesale financial operations, reporting, inventory management, stores, eCommerce, and administrative support. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Finance and Accounting team with data entry and record maintenance. 
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) invoice processing and related documentation. 
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and financial analyses. 
  • Assist with the creation of presentations and meeting materials. 
  • Attend and observe meetings to gain exposure to business operations and decision-making processes. 
  • Perform routine administrative and organizational tasks as assigned. 
  • Provide support to other departments on projects, data management, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed. 
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
