IT Intern

Base salary $18/hr

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Help Desk & End User Support:

  • Serve as a first point of contact for basic technical support requests from employees across the organization.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Support the setup and configuration of new employee equipment, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and assets.

Systems & Infrastructure Support:

  • Assist the IT team with routine system maintenance tasks, software updates, and patches.
  • Support user account setup and access management across platforms including Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Help monitor system performance and escalate issues to senior IT staff as needed.

Projects & Documentation:

  • Participate in ongoing IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or rollouts.
  • Create and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for common IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist with testing new tools, software, or configurations before broader deployment.

Collaboration & Learning:

  • Work closely with members of the IT team to develop your technical skills in a real-world environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the IT department as needed.

SKILLS YOU BRING:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and general networking concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across departments
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Previous experience in a help desk, IT support, or customer-facing technical role is a plus
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, or ERP platforms is a plus
