Why you will love working here

At IATA, we represent over 350 airlines worldwide, striving to make aviation safer, smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive.

Our Values are not just words on a page - they are the energy behind everything we do: ONE IATA - We collaborate across teams, TRUSTED - We do the right thing, INNOVATIVE - We make tomorrow better, INCLUSIVE - We embrace diverse perspectives.
• With over 30,000 courses available, we believe in continuous learning and support your growth in an ever-changing industry.
• Diversity, equity, and inclusion are our priorities. We are certified by the Equal Salary Foundation, offering equal pay and family-friendly policies.
• We encourage community involvement through volunteering and strive to make tomorrow better for aviation and our communities. We offer time off so you can support causes important to you.
• We promote work-life balance with flexible work options, including remote and hybrid work, a generous 'work from abroad' policy, and you get your birthday off!

About the team you are joining

You will join IATA Consulting's ASPAC team in Singapore, working alongside consultants who advise airlines, airports, and regulators across the region and worldwide. Few roles put you this close to how aviation actually works: the commercial pressures, the operational complexity, the safety and regulatory landscape. You will report to a Consultant and work directly with senior colleagues and global stakeholders from the start.

What your day would be like

  • Building the foundation for live client projects and proposals: finding, sorting, and making sense of information from internal databases, industry sources, and primary research.
  • Turning that research into clear, structured outputs, from briefing notes and slides through to sections of client reports.
  • Supporting proposals from early scoping to a polished submission.
  • Working end-to-end on engagements with a multidisciplinary, multicultural team, with real exposure to clients and senior stakeholders along the way.

We would love to hear from you if

  • You are a final/penultimate year undergraduate or a recent graduate with a university degree in any relevant discipline;
  • You have a genuine interest in aviation and the curiosity to go deeper into a complex, fast-moving industry;
  • The ability to take an open-ended question, structure it, and turn research into something clear and usable;
  • Strong writing and a good eye for a well-built slide;
  • Comfort working independently and figuring things out, paired with the judgement to know when to ask;
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel, and strong written and spoken English.

IMPORTANT:

  • For this internship, only applications from Singapore residents (Citizens and PRs) will be accepted. Applications from foreign students who are currently residing in Singapore and are authorized to perform an internship as part of their university program can also be accepted.
  • This internship is a full-time commitment; the selected candidate must be available on a full-time basis.
  • The selected candidate is required to commit to a minimum 6-month period, commencing in August 2026 onwards.
