About the Role

What you’ll do:

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team within a manufacturing environment. This internship is designed to provide both educational and hands-on experience in key financial functions, including Field Accounting, Operations, and Budget Management. The intern will gain practical exposure by applying academic knowledge in a professional setting while supporting real-world financial processes.

 
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
•    Support budget review and analysis processes
•    Assist with monthly “flash” reporting review and variance analysis
•    Help track and monitor operational expenses and financial performance
•    Assist with field accounting activities, including data collection and reconciliation
•    Support preparation of financial reports and presentations
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information
•    Perform basic data entry, analysis, and documentation tasks
•    Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

•    Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance or Accounting
•    Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above (please don't round) 

•    Relocation is not provided for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX site.

•    Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. 

•    Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday
•    Must be able to commit to a 6-month internship duration

 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Prior internship, co-op, or campus leadership experience in finance, accounting, supply chain, or operations
•    Experience with data analysis and reporting (e.g., PivotTables, charts, basic Power Query, or similar tools)
•    Familiarity with ERP or finance systems (e.g., SAP) and/or accounts payable, budgeting, or inventory finance concepts
