About the Role

About the role:

As an Excel & VBA Automation Trainee, you will support our ur Data analytics team by building Excel reports and improving Excel-based automation using VBA macros. You’ll work closely with a senior colleague on real, ad‑hoc business requests, mainly related to reporting and financial data. This is a hands‑on, flexible trainee role with plenty of room to learn how automation supports day‑to‑day corporate processes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance and maintain Excel automation solutions using VBA macros
  • Automate repetitive manual Excel tasks to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Work with financial and business data provided as structured exports from SAP
  • Support ad‑hoc requests from internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with a senior automation colleague on solution design and implementation
  • Work flexibly around 10–15 hours per week, typically split across 2–3 days, aligned with team needs
  • Be present in the Brno office regularly, especially during the initial onboarding period, to ensure close collaboration

Skills

Your profile:

  • Education: University student (or recent graduate) in finance, business, economics, IT or a related field
  • Experience: Basic hands‑on experience with Excel macros in VBA (school, projects or self‑learning is fine)
  • Required Skills: Advanced Excel, VBA basics, logical thinking, ability to work with structured data
  • Languages: English at B2 level or higher (Czech is not required)
  • Competencies: Communicative, reliable, detail‑oriented, willing to learn and align closely with a senior colleague
