About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) Intern to join our digital marketing team. This role is ideal for BE/BTech students with a keen interest in how content
performs across AI-driven platforms, search engines, and answer engines. An MBA or coursework in. marketing/analytics would be a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in optimizing content for answer engines (Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.)
• Conduct query intent research and analyze how users ask questions across platforms
• Support content structuring for featured snippets, AI summaries, and conversational responses
• Collaborate with content and tech teams to ensure discoverability across search and AI interfaces
• Track performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party platforms
• Monitor changes in AI/search algorithms and evolving user behavior
• Support on-page SEO tasks such as meta tag optimization, keyword mapping, and internal linking
• Assist in conducting SEO audits and identifying opportunities to improve organic search visibility
• Help analyze keyword rankings and organic traffic trends using SEO tools

Eligibility & Preferred Background

• BE/BTech degree (mandatory)
• MBA (Marketing/Analytics) is a strong plus
• Strong analytical mindset with a genuine interest in digital discovery ecosystems
• Prior exposure to SEO — through internships, coursework, or self-driven projects — is a plus

Skills & Tools Required

• Basic understanding of how search engines and AI answer platforms retrieve and rank information
• Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and research tools(SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.)
• Good command over Excel/Sheets and data interpretation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics is a plus
• Foundational knowledge of SEO concepts — keyword research, on-page optimization, crawlability, and page experience signals
• Understanding of how SEO and AEO intersect — particularly around structured data, E-E-A-T, and content authority

• Hands-on usage of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) in day-to-day workflows for research, content creation, and problem-solving
• Strong hold on content — deep understanding of user intent, target audience, and how to structure content for direct answers
• Experience in optimizing content for AI consumption (clear structure, entities, FAQs, summaries, semantic depth
• Ability to automate repetitive workflows using AI (content generation, clustering, summarization, reporting, etc.)
• Comfort with experimenting across AI platforms and understanding how responses differ across systems
• Curiosity to explore emerging concepts like AEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AI-led content distribution
• Familiarity with technical SEO fundamentals — sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals — is a strong differentiator
• Ability to bridge traditional SEO thinking with modern AEO/GEO strategies to maximize content discoverability
