We are seeking a Financial Analyst ​Intern to join our Finance team at Marsh Risk. This Internship will be based in Milan

The Financial Analyst ​Intern will be responsible for assisting the Marsh Finance Director with the consolidation and review of forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.  This individual will also ensure that information and advice is delivered timely and accurately, company policies and procedures are followed and that communication between finance teams is consistent and strong.

We will count on you to:

By joining the finance team at Marsh, you will immerse yourself in the heart of finance, and we will need you to:

  • prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances to forecast, budget and prior year;

  • coordinate revenue and expense accruals;

  • ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly close;

  • Performs variation and trend analysis for key general ledger accounts or reports;

  • Be responsible for account reconciliation and ledger management.

  • Raise and send payment requests.

  • Investigate and resolve any unmatched cash issues/financial exposures.

  • request payments for carriers and third parties.

  • Support with preparation of adhoc reports for management as needed

  • Evaluate reasonableness of forecast and readily identify issues that surface in during monthly reporting and forecasting activities

What you need to have: 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Strong critical/analytical thinker and business acumen

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Good Knowledge in PowerBi

  • Ability to be a team player in a collaborative environment

  • Strong attention to detail, organizations skills and high sense of urgency

What we offer:

  • Tailored career progression: The programme starts with a 6-month internship (monthly compensation: €800) and €8 meal vouchers per working day, smart working policy and well-being initiatives. At the end of the 6-month internship, based on the tutors' evaluation, the internship can proceed through an apprenticeship contract offering a starting gross annual salary of €28.000. The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (NCBA) applied is 'Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi’.
