About the Role

Company Description

Vattenfall is a European energy company with approximately 20,000 employees. For more than 100 years, we have been electrifying industries, supplying energy to people’s homes, and modernizing our way of living through innovation and cooperation.

Now we want to enable fossil freedom — and we believe there is a way.

About Business Area Markets
We optimize the use of our energy assets and keep the energy system in balance in a dynamic market. By combining data, forecasting and trading, we support both internal business areas and external partners. Together, we help ensure that energy is available exactly when it is needed.

Job Description

Would you like to gain practical experience in finance while contributing to a reliable and future-oriented energy system?

As a Working Student – Finance & Vendor Management, you become part of a collaborative team where you can learn, contribute your ideas, and grow step by step. At Vattenfall, we believe “there is a way” — and together, we explore better ways of working every day.

In this role, you support our Finance and Vendor Management activities and contribute to transparent and well‑structured processes. You work closely with experienced colleagues who guide you while giving you space to develop your own ideas.

Together with the team, you will:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating financial and contract-related data
  • Support vendor management processes, including documentation and communication
  • Help ensure that license records and relevant documentation are accurate and accessible
  • Contribute to improving workflows and data quality
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to support smooth and efficient processes

Your contribution helps strengthen transparency and fairness in our supplier relationships and supports efficient business operations.

Qualifications

Your profile

You are curious, motivated to learn and enjoy working with others in a structured environment. You feel comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas, and you appreciate being part of a supportive team.

We believe you bring:

  • Ongoing studies in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
  • Initial experience with data, finance or administrative tasks (e.g. through internships or projects)
  • A careful and structured way of working with attention to detail (Analytical, precise & flexible)
  • Very good Excel and common digital tools
  • Optional: Knowledge of SAP, contract management tools (e.g. TRG Screen Optimize Spend)) and PowerBI would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
  • An interest in learning more about finance processes and vendor management

If you do not meet every requirement but feel excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply — we value motivation and willingness to learn.
