About the Role

Smith Career Center - Digital Student Worker Application - Fall 2026 (with the potential to continue until you graduate)

This position will assist the Smith Career Center staff with projects including managing the BeConnected group site, social media creation, outreach to students/groups, helping with Student Team needs, and other career center duties as assigned including staffing major events as needed.

Additional responsibilities may include: company research, posting jobs and internships in Bradley netWORK, student and employer outreach while assisting students with career development practices (i.e., resume reviews, job search strategies, etc.), and general office assistance. 

This position will occasionally support front desk coverage in the Smith Career Center which includes greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and checking in students.

Required Qualifications

The Smith Career Center is seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria: 

  • Enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity regarding client information
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds, set up events across campus, and a flexible schedule to assist with events
  • Required to register this experience with the Smith Career Center/EL Tag course

Desired Knowledge, Qualities, and Skills

  • Social media content creation including creating/editing videos, writing text, and maintaining consistent branding on Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of or interest in Ai related projects
  • Proficient in basic computer systems; ability to learn specialized software
  • Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills; comfortable with answering phone calls
  • Professional and reliable, strong time-management skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to help others; respectful and tactful with good team spirit
  • Motivated, able to work independently and creatively seek solutions as part of a team

Time Commitment

  • Available to work a minimum of 6-8 hours a week

Compensation

 $11.00 per hour
