About the Role

Singapore’s healthcare system is undergoing transformation with the implementation of the Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR), a unified platform designed to enhance care delivery and enable seamless patient journeys across healthcare institutions. As part of this initiative, key downstream systems such as the Queue Management System (QMS) and Self-Service Stations (SSS) are being integrated with NGEMR to ensure smooth patient flow, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced patient experience.

 

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

 

  • Support the integration of QMS and Self-Service Stations (SSS) with NGEMR
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, users, and vendors
  • Assist in documenting business and system requirements, workflows, and integration points
  • Support system testing activities (e.g., SIT/UAT), including defect logging and tracking
  • Work with technical teams and vendors to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability
  • Assist in coordination of deployment and implementation activities
  • Support go-live and post go-live activities to ensure system stability

 

 

About You: 

 

  • Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems,  Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), application testing processes, including user acceptance testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT) and regression testing
  • Have a keen interest in IT Project Management
  • Basic knowledge of system architecture, cloud computing, network and IT security.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player
  • Exhibit leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech

 

Interns will be required to travel to Public Healthcare Institutions (PHIs) as part of the role.
