The Outpatient Administrative System (OAS) is a core Patient Management and Accounting system used across SingHealth institutions. This project focuses on integrating OAS with the Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) system to enable accurate and seamless patient master data synchronisation across systems. NGEMR is a key national healthcare platform aimed at improving accessibility, accuracy, and security of patient information to support better care delivery.

 

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

 

  • Support integration efforts between OAS and NGEMR for patient master data synchronisation
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to understand:
          - Data exchange between systems
          - Data formats and validation
          - HL7 goal-state interface concepts
  • Assist in test execution and data verification, ensuring outputs meet business and system requirements
  • Support go-live and post go-live activities, including issue tracking and resolution
  • Work with cross-functional teams (project teams, vendors, and users) to support project delivery and coordination

 

About you:

 

  • Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
  • Proficient in word, excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft SQL
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Have a keen interest in IT Project Management
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player
  • Exhibit leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech

 

Interns will be required to travel to Public Healthcare Institutions (PHIs) as part of the role.
