About the Role

The National Billing System (NBS) is a key programme driving transformation across Singapore’s public healthcare sector. As part of the operations team, this role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the system post-deployment. You will work closely with healthcare institutions, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support business-as-usual (BAU) operations, resolve incidents, and enhance system capabilities to ensure seamless billing operations across the ecosystem.

 

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

 

  • Provide operational support for the National Billing System (NBS), ensuring system stability and uptime
  • Engage users, stakeholders, and vendors to gather and clarify business requirements and operational issues
  • Support public healthcare institutions in their day-to-day operations (BAU)
  • Collaborate with multiple teams (technical, business, vendors) to triage and resolve incident tickets in a timely manner
  • Participate in and support audit and compliance requirements
  • Track, manage, and follow up on production issues with vendors, ensuring proper resolution and testing before release

 

About You:

 

  • Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems,  Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Have a keen interest in IT Project Management
  • Familiar with ticketing or project management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) is advantageous
  • Familiar with cybersecurity and risk management
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player
  • Exhibit leadership qualities with good verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
