Uni Internship Jan to July 2027 - AI-Powered Health Analytics App Development

Healthcare operations and policy planning rely on analysing large volumes of complex data. This project focuses on developing an AI-powered application that integrates healthcare data with advanced analytics and GenAI capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.

The solution will enable use cases such as disease prediction, demand forecasting, programme evaluation, and intelligent insights generation, and will be deployed on secure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or MOH Data Platform.

The selected intern(s) will assist in following:

1. Application Design & Development

• Design and develop interactive web applications using frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, Flask, or Django
• Build user-friendly interfaces to visualise healthcare analytics and insights

2. AI / GenAI Integration

• Integrate AI/GenAI models to enable intelligent features such as predictive analytics and automated insights
• Support development of features like message classification and data-driven recommendations

3. Healthcare Data & Business Logic

• Design and implement data models to support healthcare analytics and demand projection
• Translate business and policy requirements into system logic and workflows

4. Cloud Deployment

• Deploy and optimise applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or MOH Cloud)
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security best practices

5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and enhance usability
• Incorporate feedback to improve system functionality and user experience

About You:

• Undergraduate currently in Year 2 or Year 3, pursuing a degree in Business Artificial Intelligence Systems, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Engineering & Media, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Python and/or at least one web development framework (ReactJS, Angular, FastAPI or Flask). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Databricks data platform has added advantage.
• AI Knowledge: Basic understanding of AI/LLM and their applications in data analytics.
• Programming Languages: Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Data Handling: Experience with handling and processing large datasets.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team 
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech 

Interns will be based at Ministry of Health (Outram Campus).
