About the Role

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at MKS Korea in the Match Engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and optimization of RF matching networks used in plasma processing systems. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • 3D Modeling and Design

1) Create and modify 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies related to RF match systems using SolidWorks.

2) Participate in design reviews and contribute to mechanical design improvements for thermal management and structural integrity.

  • Technical Documentation

1) Prepare and update engineering documentation including 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.

2) Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and supports manufacturing and service teams.

  • Simulation and Analysis

1) Conduct thermal and structural simulations using tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation to evaluate design performance.

2) Analyze simulation results and propose design optimizations for reliability and manufacturability.

  • Manufacturing and Assembly Support

1) Support the fabrication and assembly of mechanical parts for RF match systems.

2) Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency.

Skills You Bring:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

  • Ability to perform DFMEA and apply design-for-manufacturing principles.

  • Basic understanding of RF systems, thermal management, and mechanical design principles.

  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.

  • Interest in the semiconductor industry and RF power delivery systems.

  • English communication skills are mandatory.
