Job Summary:

Will assist in various tasks within the production department of a battery manufacturing or recycling plant. The trainee will gain practical experience in the assembly, quality control, and packaging of battery products, as well as the operation of production machinery. Under the supervision of experienced operators and supervisors, the OJT will learn about production workflows, equipment handling, and quality standards in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities: Assisting in Production Processes: Assist in the assembly, testing, and packaging of batteries or battery components. Observe and learn about different stages of production, including material handling, machine setup, and product inspection. Learn to operate production equipment and machinery under the guidance of experienced staff. Quality Control Support: Assist in performing routine quality checks on finished products and raw materials. Help identify defects or issues in products and report findings to the Production Supervisor. Learn to use testing equipment and tools to ensure products meet quality standards. Material Handling and Preparation: Assist in the preparation and handling of raw materials required for production. Monitor inventory levels of production supplies and materials, ensuring there are no disruptions to the production process. Help with organizing materials in the production area for efficient workflow. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols in the production area. Ensure that the work environment remains clean, organized, and free of hazards. Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policies. Assisting in Machine Setup and Operation: Help set up and operate machinery used in the production process, including mixing, molding, and testing machines. Observe machine calibration and make adjustments as needed under the supervision of senior staff. Documentation and Reporting: Help maintain records of daily production activities, including the number of units produced, quality checks, and any issues encountered. Document any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to be addressed by the maintenance team. Learning Best Practices: Participate in training sessions to gain an understanding of production workflows and operational efficiency. Learn about the various types of machinery used in production and their maintenance requirements.

Qualifications: Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Technical Vocational Course or Bachelor’s Degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Must be in the latter part of the academic program (preferably 3rd or 4th year) or have completed relevant coursework in production or manufacturing.
