About the Role

HR at JPMorganChase supports more than 300,000 employees across 60+ countries—and we're rebuilding how that work gets done. This is your opportunity to be part of that transformation from day one.

As a 2027 Human Resources Analyst Development Program Summer Analyst at JPMorganChase within Human Resources, you will spend 9 weeks working on live problems alongside HR product owners, analytics teams, and business leaders. You will own a defined project, ship a tangible deliverable, and present your work to senior stakeholders at the end of the summer. Beyond hands-on experience, you will benefit from structured training, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with senior leaders and peers across the organization. Strong performers may receive an offer for the 2028 Full-Time Human Resources Analyst Development Program—this internship is a primary pipeline for the program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own one end-to-end project tied to a business priority—for example, analyzing attrition drivers in a specific line of business, redesigning a step in the onboarding journey, or evaluating an HR technology workflow against the current state.
  • Use AI tools—including LLM Suite and Copilot—to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis while validating outputs, surfacing risks and limitations, and applying judgment rather than passing AI output through unreviewed.
  • Collaborate across Human Resources and with business stakeholders to help design and deliver forward-looking people strategies
  • Develop capabilities in critical thinking, problem solving, and applying a digital-first mindset to real business challenges
  • Present your project deliverable and recommendations to senior stakeholders at the conclusion of the program
  • Build relationships with peers across the Columbus, Plano, Newark/Wilmington, and New York Metro summer classes
  • Participate in structured training sessions and mentorship programming to accelerate your professional development
  • Ask sharp questions, drive to clarity, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment even when starting without a complete brief

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S., or 5th-year M.A. or M.S., with an expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2028
  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources and the future of work—shown through coursework, clubs, prior work, research, or independent projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze challenges and develop practical solutions
  • Strong adaptability and learning agility, with the ability to thrive in changing environments and adopt new ways of working
  • Data literacy, with an interest in using data and analytics to generate insights and inform decision-making
  • Comfortable with Excel and able to learn new tools quickly
  • Active user of AI tools (for example, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in your studies or projects, and able to explain where they help, where they fail, and how you verify output quality

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Prior internship or work experience in Human Resources, people analytics, or organizational development
  • Familiarity with HR technology platforms or workforce data tools
  • Experience presenting findings or recommendations to senior audiences
