This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to develop analytical, research, and decision-making skills while working alongside experienced underwriting professionals in a collaborative office environment.
Hours:
- Flexible schedule during the school year
- 15–30 hours per week during academic semesters
- Up to 40 hours per week during summer breaks
What You'll Do:
- Assist with the preparation and organization of underwriting and binding guideline specifications for an upcoming Policy Center implementation
- Help create and maintain consolidated underwriting guidelines for independent agents and internal underwriting teams
- Research underwriting requirements, evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations
- Review information for accuracy and consistency while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Participate in special projects and support department initiatives as needed
- Collaborate with retail, wholesale, retention, and underwriting professionals across the organization

Qualifications:
- Sophomore or Junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
