Overview of the role

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to work within Everfox’s platform software team – specifically we are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual looking for hands-on experience within a unique and highly innovative company, and the opportunity to develop within the organisation.

You will help support the continuous improvement of workflows, practices and processes employed by the platform engineering team, as well as contributing to continuous integration, deployment, testing/automation, and product engineering.

Our technology stack ranges from bespoke hardware, FPGAs and embedded software, to mobile and desktop applications, web services and appliacations. You’ll receive ample guidance for new tasks, but day-to-day we’re autonomous, organized and proactive.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the engineering team in developing, integrating and automating tests
• Assisting in developing new pipelines for software builds and integration.
• Leveraging AI tooling (LLMs) to accelerate productivity across engineering workflows, from code generation and review to test automation and documentation.
• Improving code maintainability and supportability.
• Developing and maintaining tools or scripts to automate routine development activity.
• Investigating new technologies and performing rapid prototyping to support. technical de-risking and discover new opportunities for product improvements.
• Recognising the industry that Everfox operates in and appreciating the importance of following our information security policies.

Skills & Experience

• Keen interest in tech, software development, and/or the cybersecurity industry.
• Some programming skills with Python, Bash, or other programming languages.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with build systems and CI pipelines is an advantage.
• Able to multi-task and collaborate with multiple teams effectively.
• Pro-active and able to work well independently as well as part of a wider team.
• An interest in AI and emerging development tools, with a curiosity for how they can be applied to real-world engineering challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented, highly organised, proactive, pragmatic, good time management skills.
