We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:



Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a research project “Feasibility and acceptability of implementation of mindfulness-based intervention for community-dwelling older adults with emigrant children suffering from loneliness: a pilot randomized controlled trial”.

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • conducting literature review on relevant topics;

  • recruiting research participants;

  • assisting in conducting intervention, e.g., preparing the health talk teaching materials;

  • assisting in data collection, e.g., anthropometric data and physical tests;

  • performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; and

  • providing research-related assistance.

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • Be currently enrolled full-time in a program at HKMU during the contract period, preferably in nursing, healthcare, social science, psychology or related disciplines;

  • proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;

  • a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferrable in Cantonese; and

  • a good team player and able to coordinate research projects independently.

 

Remuneration

HK$75 per hour

 

Duration of Appointment

Working hours shall be less than 68 hours per 4 consecutive weeks.

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
