Global Engagement Intern

Boeing Australia is currently seeking to recruit a Global Engagement Intern to be based in our Brisbane or Sydney location in a hybrid capacity. 

The Boeing Global Engagement Intern will support community engagement and higher education relations partners to plan, coordinate, and deliver employee/community volunteer initiatives, STEM outreach and grant initiatives. This role will help expand Boeing’s community impact by supporting grant administration, partner relationships, program logistics, measurement and reporting, and volunteer engagement across local and regional initiatives. 

To be eligible, you must be currently studying at university in areas such as business, project management, communications, marketing, social sciences, policy, commerce or international relations. 

Due to the International nature of the role and business as a whole, there may be the requirement to support after hours meetings and calls, however flexibility is encouraged. Some domestic travel may be required 

About the Role:  

  • Assist with end-to-end grant administration, including intake, review logistics, record keeping, and tracking outcomes. 

  • Support outreach and relationship-building with higher education institutions, community-based organizations, and nonprofits. 

  • Coordinate community volunteer activities and employee engagement events with community/university partners and staff (logistics, communications, registration). 

  • Help develop and maintain program materials: outreach collateral, application forms, grant agreements, progress reports, and newsletters. 

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize program metrics and impact data to support reporting and continuous improvement. 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Australian/NZ Global Engagement team: scheduling, meeting prep, note-taking, and or grant-management systems. 

  • Contribute to planning for virtual and in-person events, including speaker coordination and post-event follow-up. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external funder or partner requirements in grant processes.

  • Gain hands-on experience with strategic partnerships, corporate philanthropy, grantmaking processes, and community partnerships. 

  • Build skills in stakeholder engagement, program measurement, and event management. 

  • Contribute directly to programs that increase educational opportunity and community resilience. 

  • Produce measurable outputs such as processed grants, volunteer events executed, and impact summaries for leadership. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 

  • Student status 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

  • Basic data collection and analysis skills; experience with qualitative and quantitative reporting preferred. 

  • Team player with initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and community impact.
