Description
This Graduate Assistant position will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Cheer and Dance programs as well as secondary responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director. A strong faith base and commitment to the mission of Greenville University are essential. This is a 12-month position.
Requirements
Graduate Assistant (GA) is students, not employee of the university.
• GA may not hold other on-campus employment.
• GA must be accepted and enrolled in a Greenville University graduate program.
• GA will maintain continuous enrollment in the degree program at all times
• GA must maintain an accumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.0
• GA will receive a stipend in addition to full tuition scholarship for a Greenville University graduate program.
• GA must be able to live and work in the USA. No Student Visa available.
Responsibilities:
• Coach Duties: administrative, practice, game, and competition preparation
• Recruiting: coordinate recruiting activities including emails, phone calls, and letters, maintain the recruit database, and manage social media
• Academics: monitor academic progress of players
• Spiritual Development: assist/lead Bible studies and mentor players
• Game Day Management: responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and acceptance into a Graduate Program.
• Cheer and Dance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous coaching experience
• Dance technique/training/choreography
