About the Role

Description

Position Summary: This work-study position in the Frey Building provides front desk and administrative support across multiple campus offices, including Development, Business, Public Relations, and the President’s Office. The student will assist with greeting and directing visitors, completing clerical and organizational tasks, supporting events and communications, and helping maintain a professional and welcoming environment for campus and external guests. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals, including students, staff, donors, and community.

REPORTS TO: Chief of Staff
LENGTH: Fall and Spring
LOCATION: Trenton, Missouri-Main Campus


Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to

· Greet and assist people when entering the Frey Building in a professional and welcoming manner and provide accurate directions or assistance in locating departments and personnel. 

· Assist with general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry. 

· Prepare and organize mailing and correspondence. 

· Support the offices with event preparations, communications, and projects. 

· Assist with public relations support including photography, interviewing, and event coordination. 

· Help with administrative needs including office tasks, general inquiry help, organizing, and customer service. 

· Attend events that often include donors, legislators, stakeholders, executives, board members, and other community members and communicate effectively and professionally. 

· Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism at all times. 

· Perform other related duties and office tasks assigned.

Qualifications: 


Skills:  Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong computer skills and knowledge. This student will be working with a variety of legislators, donors, and executives on a daily basis, they must be able to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor. 


Physical Demands: Moving about between buildings on the NCMC campus, ascending and descending stairs, reaching, pulling, and pushing when filing, able to do repetitive tasks,  remain stationary at a desk for extended periods of time while typing. 


Environmental Demands: Fluctuations while walking on tile and carpeted floors in a heated and air conditioned environment.
