About the Role

Make yourself grow – with real insights, real responsibility and an international team!

KWS Berlin GmbH offers a full-time internship for students who are looking for more than just a line on their CV. If your study program requires a mandatory internship and you want to understand how finance works in a truly international company, our IFRS & Group Accounting team in Berlin could be the right place for you.

During your internship, you will become part of a team that connects with colleagues across countries, business units and functions. You will gain first-hand experience in international financial reporting, see how consolidated financial statements are prepared, and learn how IFRS topics are translated into practical accounting decisions.

Your internship will focus on:

  • International group reporting and consolidation under IFRS
  • Technical accounting questions, audit documentation and accounting policies
  • Digital finance, process improvements and data quality initiatives
  • Collaboration with international KWS entities and cross-functional finance teams

Your tasks :

  • Support our team in preparing quarterly and annual reporting packages for an international group
  • Help review financial information and supporting documentation from KWS entities around the world
  • Assist with IFRS research and turn complex accounting questions into clear, structured documentation
  • Contribute to presentations, training materials and internal communication for finance colleagues
  • Get involved in improvement projects around digitalization, automation, data quality and modern finance tools
  • Take ownership of smaller analyses and project tasks – with guidance, feedback and support from experienced colleagues

Your profile :

  • You are studying business administration, economics, finance, accounting, controlling or a similar field and need to complete a mandatory internship
  • You are curious about financial reporting, IFRS and how international companies bring many numbers together into one consolidated financial picture
  • You enjoy working with details, but you also like understanding the bigger picture behind the numbers
  • You are comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; first experience with SAP, consolidation tools, Power BI or AI-supported tools is a plus
  •  You are proactive, open-minded and not afraid to ask questions, challenge ideas and contribute your own perspective
  •  You communicate fluently in English and enjoy working in an international environment; German language skills are a plus

What you can expect from us: a supportive team, international exposure, real learning opportunities, room to grow and tasks that matter. We do not expect you to know everything on day one – but we do expect curiosity, reliability and the motivation to learn.

We look forward to receiving your complete application, including your cover letter, CV, academic transcripts, proof of mandatory internship and any other relevant certificates. In your cover letter, please indicate which areas you are particularly interested in, your preferred start date and the planned duration of your internship.
