As a Sales and Proposal Intern, you will support internal and external customer demands on commercial offers for Grid Automation, working closely with the commercial team to drive project success and business growth in the Latin American region.

Job Description

What You'll Do

The Sales and Proposal Intern role is designed to provide hands-on experience in the commercial function of our Grid Automation business. In this role, you will support technical reviews, sales reporting, and the tendering process for High Voltage substations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, support contract negotiations, and contribute to the maturity of our pre-sales and commercial processes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support technical reviews in Protection, Communications, and Control Systems for HV Substations according to specifications provided by customers and regional utilities.
  • Assist in managing the weekly agenda, including coordination of meetings within GE Vernova and with external customers.
  • Support Tendering on small-value offers within the Region’s Delegation of Authority (DoA).
  • Ensure data quality within the CRM (SalesForce/Speak4GE).
  • Create and follow up on sales reports and their associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in the process of continuous improvement and maturity of ITO (Pre-Sales & Commercial) processes.
  • Provide support during contract negotiations and commercial reviews.
  • Work closely with sales and commercial leaders to support the execution of business priorities in the Mexico, Central America, and Caribbean (MX, CAM & C) region.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Intermediate English level (B1 or higher) and native Spanish proficiency.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Interest in the commercial area, including Sales Management and technical reviews.
  • Knowledge or interest in Protection, Communications, and Control Systems of HV Substations.
  • Experience with AI assistants is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in an environment driven by priorities and deadlines.
  • Dynamic and flexible person with a high desire to work in a cross-functional environment.
