About the Role

Name of the Project: Global Operations & Innovation Laboratory

Vice Presidency: Sustainability and Operations Development 

Region: Central

Intern’s Location (Office): Av. Independencia Ote. 1150, across from Calle Héroes del 47, Colonia Cementos – CENOSA, Tepeaca 1 Building, GOIL Laboratory.

 

Eligible Semester(s): 5th - 10th semester

Careers of Interest: Nanotechnology Engineering

Schedule Availability: Between 25 and 30 hours per week

Period of Stay at CEMEX: 6 months, with the option of renewal

Tentative Start Date: August 2026

Detailed Description of the Project

 

Project Objective

Collaborate in the development of projects, carrying out tasks and activities in the Global laboratory.

 

Challenges for the Students

  • Working in a cement laboratory environment (manual operations, extended periods on your feet), as well as office work to prepare reports and presentations.
  • Performing chemical and physical analyses

 

Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out

  • Carrying out research on current technology trends through online search tools, databases, etc.
  • Preparing technology-watch/monitoring reports.
  • Conducting analysis and testing of samples in the cement laboratory.
  • Supporting equipment maintenance, calibration, and verification plan activities

 

Specific Requirements / Qualifications

  • Ability to synthesize and organize data, and prepare presentations.
  • Laboratory experience: chemical analysis activities and physical tests involving physical effort (max. load 20–25 kg).
  • Attention to detail: chemical analysis activities are sensitive to variations.
  • Independence: able to learn and carry out chemical and physical laboratory tests on their own, without supervision.
  • Ability to act responsibly and in accordance with CEMEX Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Computer skills: MS Office, digital design tools.
