About the Role

PRODUCT MANAGER – CO-OP / INTERN 

Your Position & How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to the Director, Product Management, this position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping the team to manage the existing base of customers, present findings, create reports, and work on developing and executing roadmap items. In this dynamic position, you will be required to utilize your business knowledge, learn and understand in a dynamic environment, and support the company as we continue to grow and scale.


Responsibilities & Key Duties:

Product Management

  • Report on core Product KPIs and identify trends, areas for improvement. 
  • Contribute to ongoing performance reports for various teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, Executives.
  • Monitor external environment, contribute to the ongoing analysis of the competitive landscape, drive better understanding of the existing customer base, provide guidance and tactics to directly respond to competitive threats.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Excel-based reports, dashboards, and analytical models using advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, formulas, and VBA
  • Monitor pricing and promotion opportunities, and help action timely changes, as required.
  • Drive Customer Experience by using analytics to identify and resolve top customer pain points and find creative ways to drive meaningful customer value.
  • Contribute to presentations and other material for various levels of the organization that include but are not limited to informational, training, alignment, or approval.

Roadmap & Features

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the product roadmap including assessment of features, functionality, competitors and current / potential vendors.
  • Work with Finance to create business cases for new feature launches or other potential roadmap items.
  • Be the liaison with our internal technology and operations teams to drive clarity and understanding of product features, product changes, assessments, impacts 

Hardware Lifecycle Management & Forecasting

  • Assist with device forecasting, trending, and analysis. 
  • Contribute to the successful management of direct hardware costs and driving efficiency in the portfolio. 

Cross-Functional Interaction (Internal & External)

  • Help build a strong rapport with Marketing & Sales teams to drive improved communication and product usage including assessment of training material. 
  • Help to quarterback alignment and understanding with cross-functional teams (Operations, Care Finance, Network).
  • Be engaged in vendor analysis including reviews of existing vendors and assessment of new vendors in the market. 

MVP Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Product Management, general Business, Marketing and Marketing practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, time and task management skills.
  • Ability to manage individual tasks and collaborate with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and, business analysis skills including the ability to interpret data, drive root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work well with ambiguity and enjoy learning new things. 
  • Technical aptitude. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and PowerBI.

Nice to Have Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Consumer Telecom products. 
  • Economics, statistics, pricing assessment, and execution experience. 
  • Ability to make recommendations and present findings to stakeholders in different areas of the company.
  • Experience with design thinking, journey design, process improvement, process automation, machine learning.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and technologies, including workflow automation, scripting, or low-code/no-code platforms to improve operational efficiency.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited business, computer science, math, finance or related post-secondary program.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a post-secondary degree program.
