We are looking for a new Alternant(e) Application Technologist to join our team in Avignon. You will be responsible for assessing the applicability and stability of botanical ingredients across various food matrices. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative food solutions.
This alternance will be available from September 2026 for 1 year located in Avignon (84).
Main responsibilites:
Integrated into the Apply Science & Technology laboratory, you will have for main activities:
- Take on internal projects, under the supervision of his/her manager. He/she can work on formulation projects as well as stability studies that involve the analysis of the food.
- Produce samples, carry out all technical tasting & food analysis, and record the results appropriately and communicate.
- Lead the general maintenance of the lab, making sure it meets general standards of hygiene and safety, manage the need of technical supplies.
- Interpret & share results
Your Profile includes:
- In the process of validating an advanced technician's certificate (BAC+2) or Licence in Food Science (BAC+3)
- Good scientific/analytical skills: food/nutraceutical formulations, design of experiments, and natural extracts
- Good laboratory practice skills
- Possesses technical skills in area of specialty, knowledge of food methods analysis and food formulations
- Ability to draw and document conclusions from research experiments
- Autonomous and pro-active spirit
- Ability to taste and be exposed to strong smells and tastes
- French native speaker level. English language proficiency will be highly valued because the documentation is written in English
