Our Ottawa office is actively seeking a Bridges Engineering Coop Student. Our group provides consulting services for Preliminary Design and Detail Design projects for public sector clients, including the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and several Ontario Municipalities.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Bridges Engineering Co-op Student in our Ottawa Bridges team, you will be involved in the planning and design of provincial highways, interchanges, and local municipal roads and assisting our structural engineering group with the inspection and design of bridges and structures. You will be responsible for assisting in the following areas:

  • Assist in bridge inspections and completion of associated reporting;
  • Support preparation of engineering drawings and plans using industry standard drafting principles;
  • Support preliminary design and detail design of bridge improvement projects.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.


Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
