Role Overview: 

Join Maxis as a Data Privacy Intern and immerse yourself in the critical field of data protection and compliance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our Data Privacy team, contributing to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines that uphold our commitment to data privacy. You will assist in monitoring legal developments, drafting communications, and supporting governance and compliance operations, gaining invaluable experience in the legal aspects of data privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy and Procedure Updates: Assist in reviewing and updating data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they reflect current legal standards and best practices.

  • Legal Research: Monitor and provide updates on the latest legal developments affecting data privacy, ensuring the organization remains compliant with evolving regulations.

  • Content Drafting: Draft content for company-wide communications on data privacy matters, raising awareness and promoting best practices across the organization.

  • Governance and Compliance Support: Support the Head of Data Privacy in various operational matters, including compliance monitoring and reporting.

  • Form and Template Management: Assist in updating procedural forms and templates to ensure consistency and compliance with data privacy requirements.
     

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Law or a related field with an interest in data privacy and compliance.

  • Legal Research Skills: Proficient in conducting legal research and interpreting legislation related to data privacy.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in policy documentation and legal updates.

  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
