Job Description

Our Ground Engineering and Tunnelling team provides services ranging from site investigations, desk-top and feasibility studies, engineering design, and construction phase supervision. The team supports both internal and external clients on a wide variety of projects in the transportation, energy, water, and building sectors, throughout ANZ as well as globally.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Support a mix of fieldwork (e.g., site visits, inspections) and office-based tasks (e.g., reporting, design input) across project phases, working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, clients, and contractors to deliver integrated project solutions. 
  • Support geotechnical analyses for foundations, slope stability, pavement design, earthworks, and other structures by compiling data, performing basic calculations, and preparing deliverables under supervision.
  • Participate in opportunities for short-term travel, as project needs and interests align.

Qualifications

  • Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical electives.
  • Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
  • Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia before applying.
