An internship on Ivy Tech’s marketing team is an opportunity for students interested in learning more about communication- and marketing-related careers. Students majoring in or studying journalism, digital media, graphic design, public relations, marketing, communication, visual communication or arts, multimedia, and English are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the College’s social media accounts and posts content
Brainstorms campaign ideas
Fulfills one-off requests from both Systems and campus teams
Keep detailed notes in social media campaign calendar pertaining to what is deployed, when, and to which platform
Organizes analytics in an easy-to-read and decipherable format
Comprehends the overall concept of Ivy Tech, including the brand, customer, product, and student experience goals
Pay Rate: $15 per hour
Approximate Start Date: July 2026
Last Date of Employment: May 2027
Requirements:
Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need
Currently enrolled as degree-seeking Ivy Tech Community College student
Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organization and attention to quality and detail
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with frequent deadlines
Exhibit strong problem-solving skills
Ability to follow directions and work independently, and in a team environment
Self-motivated, positive personality with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Office , Sprout Social, Salesforce Social Studio (preferred)
General knowledge of Adobe Suite, Web CMS, and project management is a plus
