We made the promise to make banking frictionless, removing barriers to progress, and make people confident in their financial decisions. As a global bank we have a huge opportunity – and responsibility – to make an impact for the better. We can play a role by financing change, sharing knowledge, and innovating. About the Role

Your Invitation to the World of Banking!

We would like to offer a unique learning experience that provides meaningful, practical work related to a student's field of study or career interests.

An ING internship gives you the opportunity for career exploration and development while learning valuable new skills in an international banking environment.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to join our Mandates Management Team within Wholesale Banking Client Services.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced international environment, where you will learn how corporate bank account and authorization requests are managed, processed, and maintained for ING clients around the world.

You will be supporting the Wholesale Banking Client Services (WB CS) organization and working closely with experienced professionals responsible for ensuring clients' account access, signing authorities, and mandate structures are accurately maintained. Through this role, you will gain insight into how global banking operations support large corporate clients while balancing efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.

What will you do?

As part of the Mandates Management Team, you will support the daily processing and maintenance of client account mandates and authorization structures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the processing of account mandate and authorization requests
  • Reviewing documentation for completeness and data quality
  • Updating and maintaining client information in internal banking systems
  • Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assisting with queue management and workflow monitoring
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple countries and departments
  • Supporting process improvement and simplification initiatives
  • Contributing to timely and high-quality service delivery for ING's corporate clients

What are we looking for?

  • Interest in banking, operations, finance, or a corporate environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work accurately with data and documentation
  • Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Good communication skills in English (B2+)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Availability to work 2–3 days per week (approximately 20 hours) from our Bratislava office

What do we offer?

  • Real work experience in an international banking environment
  • Exposure to global corporate banking operations
  • Opportunity to work with experienced professionals and learn from experts
  • Friendly and supportive team culture
  • Development of analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Paid internship with potential for future career opportunities within ING

Why Mandates Management?

You will be part of a team that plays a critical role in enabling clients to securely access and manage their banking services.
