About the Role

Schrödinger seeks a Student Assistant to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.  This is a 20-hour-per-week position, for six to twelve months, with a monthly salary of 1,500 €.

In this role, you will provide crucial administrative and operational support to the Schrödinger Europe team in Mannheim. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office management, HR operations, and event coordination within a dynamic corporate environment.

You will work under the direct guidance and supervision of experienced team members who will support your growth and help you succeed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in overseeing the Mannheim office, including greeting visitors and creating a welcoming environment
  • Help order office supplies and coordinate routine office maintenance work
  • Support the coordination of business trips, travel management, and the organization of internal office events and meetings
  • Assist the team in organizing and executing successful customer events
  • Help maintain the inventory of marketing materials and coordinate shipments to various conferences and customers
  • Review credit card receipts and assist in preparing accuracy reports
  • Support the team with weekly payment runs and related administrative documentation
  • Assist with the hiring pipeline by scheduling job interviews and coordinating communication with candidates

What you’ll need:

  • Active enrollment in a university degree program (Business Administration, HR, Communication, or a related field is a plus)
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace
  • Fluency in English and German
