ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Buying Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Fall '26 Semester. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Buying & Merchandising and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Buying team with daily administrative tasks, including maintaining assortment tools, purchase order tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in analyzing weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through to help identify business opportunities.
  • Prepare product recaps, assortment presentations, and market meeting materials for internal reviews.
  • Help manage sample organization, product cataloging, and showroom preparation during market appointments and seasonal buys.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and Retail, to support the execution of seasonal assortments.
  • Conduct competitive market research and trend analysis to provide insights on product assortment, pricing, and the luxury retail landscape.

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for luxury fashion and a keen eye for product and trends
  • Keen interest for fashion and eagerness to immerse themselves in the industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Education/Experience:

  • Currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Fashion Buying & Merchandising, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with retail math is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as the Google Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior internship experience in fashion merchandising is preferred
