About Educational & Referral Organizational for Sexuality (EROS) :

EROS is dedicated to promoting a healthy and respectful understanding of sexuality and gender through

judgment-free peer education. Inclusive of all identities, backgrounds, and types of sexuality, EROS

provides contemporary sexuality education through events, workshops, social media, performances, books

and DVDs, and a referral database. EROS connects the campus community by providing presentations and

information to students, classes, and organizations. EROS connects the greater San Francisco community by

referring students to off-campus resources and collaborating with off-campus organizations for events.

EROS introduces new students to their program with an annual open house, and inspires all students to

pursue sexuality in their professional lives with the annual Career Fair. EROS acclimates students to the

diverse and open culture that is present in San Francisco, as well as SFSU, improving retention rates and

campus pride. EROS promotes consent, tolerance, diversity, and health with the goal of students feeling

empowered about themselves and their sexuality.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director works closely with the Director to manage and oversee the EROS program,

helping to coordinate events that promote diversity, inclusivity, and responsible sexuality. This role

includes organizing a minimum of three events each semester, such as the Annual Careers in Sex

Symposium. The Assistant Director is also responsible for maintaining the program's book/DVD

inventory and loan system, coordinating volunteers, and assisting with other tasks as assigned by the

Director.

Job Description:


● The Assistant Director assists the Director in implementing and overseeing the operation of

EROS.

● Assists Director in coordinating a minimum of 3 events each semester to promote diversity,

tolerance, and responsibility towards sexuality which includes the Annual Careers in Sex

Symposium.

● Maintains book/DVD inventory, as well as, loan/ check out system

● Oversees the Program’s Internship by tracking intern hours and supporting with

onboarding and end of semester intern recognition

● Promotes student support services through marketing and outreach

● Supports with design and social media requests to create marketing materials for annual

and outreach events

● Contributes to written monthly and annual reports for Supervisor

● Other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications:

● Current student at San Francisco State University taking at least 6 units for undergraduates

or 4 units for graduates.

● Successful completion of at least one semester of these courses is preferred

o BIO 330 Human Sexuality

o BIO 322

o HED 320 Contemporary Sexuality and

o COUN 605, 606, 607
