We are currently seeking junior-level candidates to join Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Banking & Loan Finance Practice at the Shanghai office. We welcome applications from legal interns, paralegals, and junior associates who are enthusiastic about building their career in a leading international law firm.

Role Overview

Your scope of responsibility covers a wide range of tasks, including conducting legal research to support the issuance of legal memoranda, preparing conditions precedent documents for transactions (including board resolutions), coordinating with counsels in other jurisdictions, and drafting legal documents in Chinese and English.  

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in Law

  • Solid legal foundation and passion for law

  • Superb writing skills in English and Chinese

  • Attention to detail and willingness to take ownership

  • Willingness to work in a team, with excellent communication skills

  • Good task management and can work under pressure

  • PRC bar qualification preferred

  • Prior law firm experiences a plus

Exposure to both transactional work (banking and finance deals) and contentious work (restructuring and insolvency deals), with a focus on both Mainland China and Hong Kong markets.
