About the Role

Supply Chain Coordinator Co-op

Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site
Job Type: Full-time Co-op
Compensation: $22 - $26/hour

The Position:

Reporting to the Supply Chain team, the Supply Chain Coordinator Co-op is responsible for supporting purchasing, material planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination activities to ensure materials are delivered on time and at the most cost-effective solution. This role works closely with project management, manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Facilitate the release of direct purchases of materials utilizing MRP functionality
  • Work with project management and manufacturing teams to ensure production requirements are maintained while limiting on hand inventories
  • Ensure continuity of supply while escalating constraints as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all supplier partners
  • Implement cost reduction strategies and maintain cost baselines
  • Management and implementation of all engineering change requests
  • Manage reverse logistics for failed, suspect, or non-required materials
  • Maintain all dashboard metrics daily
  • Develop a good understanding of products, supply base and associated technologies
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies and their business implications
  • Complete other duties and projects, as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business, Operations or related field
  • Industry certifications such as CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP or CCLP considered an asset
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • MRP/ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.) considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Commitment to continuous improvement within the supply chain
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Team player with experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Students should be enrolled in a post-secondary academic program requiring a co-op/work term
