Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

The Supply Chain Co-op Student supports strategic sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain operations while contributing to key initiatives that improve data accuracy, procurement compliance, and operational efficiency. This 4-month placement provides hands-on experience working with business systems, supplier data, reporting, and process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Reporting

  • Support reporting activities, data validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Vendor Risk Management & Systems

  • Support the integration and maintenance of vendor risk management data within ERP and procurement systems.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding, documentation reviews, and risk assessment tracking.
  • Help maintain supplier records, certifications, insurance documentation, and compliance information.

Preferred Vendor Catalogue Development

  • Support the creation and maintenance of the preferred vendor catalogue and approved product listings.
  • Assist in standardizing product information, supplier attributes, and sourcing documentation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure catalogue accuracy and alignment with sourcing strategies.

Training & Process Development

  • Assist in developing supply chain training materials, reference guides, and process documentation.
  • Support the enhancement of supply chain onboarding and continuous learning programs.
  • Help document best practices and standard operating procedures for procurement and supplier management activities.

Collaboration & Operations Support

  • Support contract reviews, pricing validations, and supplier communications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on supply chain initiatives and process improvements.
  • Manage assigned projects while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
  • Interest in supplier management, procurement technology, ERP systems, and process improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and maintain data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience with procurement, or business intelligence tools is considered an asset.
