About the Role

Athletic/PE Equipment Manager Aide, SC1EQUIPSPHYS (FA26)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
Assist in all operations and of the equipment room, PE classes and athletic contests.

  • Day to day operations in the equipment room.
  • All laundry operations.
  • Maintenance of sporting and PE equipment.
  • Assist in repairing sporting and PE equipment.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Various computer records.
  • Set-up and take-down of PE class and athletic game equipment.
  • Home athletic contest operations.
  • Other duties assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
      • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
      • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
      • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
    • Experience
      • Work experience and/or participation in or with athletics required.
      • Knowledge of various sporting equipment required.
      • Good organizational and communication skills required.
      • Knowledge of computer data entry required.
      • Must work well under pressure and be able to handle last minute changes and needs of coaches, athletes and students required.
    • Licenses and Certifications
      • COD Training
        • Bloodborne Pathogens
        • Compliance Training

      Working Conditions:

    • Computers, washing machines, dryers.
    • Various sporting equipment.
    • Various hand and power tools.
    • Must be able to work varying hours (some nights and weekends). Inside and outside work.
    • Some light lifting involved.
    • Possible ticket sales and handling of money.
    • Handling of sweat and dirty equipment/apparel.
    • Physical work required.
    • This student position requires the following test/tests: Background Check.
    • Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
