About the Role

Truck Centre Laverton are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Parts Interpreter to join the team in a full time position. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in the automotive and trucking industry while gaining hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

Working closely with experienced Parts Interpreters and the wider parts team, you will learn all aspects of parts operations, customer service, inventory management, and technical product knowledge while supporting the efficient operation of a busy dealership environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers and internal departments with parts enquiries
  • Learning to identify, source, and interpret truck parts and components
  • Processing parts orders and sales transactions
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching parts orders accurately
  • Assisting with inventory control, stocktake activities, and stock replenishment
  • Maintaining accurate records within dealership systems
  • Supporting workshop technicians with their parts requirements
  • Ensuring the parts department remains organised, clean, and efficient
  • Participating in all training and development activities as part of your apprenticeship

 

About You

  • A genuine interest in the automotive, trucking, or heavy vehicle industry
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current driver's licence (or working towards obtaining one) preferred
